We settled on our land on 15 April and since then it feels like everything is taking forever, when it really isn't.
We have had our contour survey, soil tests etc. completed. Had some good news that we would only need a standard M Class slab instead of the expected H1 for high salinity so happily received a credit for this. We then had to order a BAL Certificate that came back low and have been advised that we will be able to lodge a Complying Development Certificate (CDC) application which will save a lot of time (3 weeks as opposed to 6-8 for DA approval). We received our revised plans after BASIX and waterboard approval and are just awaiting the engineer's plans before we can lodge this week. Once approved, we hit the construction list! This can't come soon enough.
We visited the land on the weekend, our first visit since settlement. We got to see our official sold sign which was exciting. Even though it has been over a year since we secured the block, it has only officially been ours for a month now.
